We're delighted to have your child joining us for Cadet Week 2026 — a week of sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, rowing, raft building, and powerboating on the Tay. The week is run by Wormit Boating Club with qualified instructors and safety cover throughout.

Payment is by BACS bank transfer. Please include your child's full name as the payment reference so we can match your payment to their place.
Places are not confirmed until payment is received. Payment must reach us by 5 June 2026.

The club will provide the following for all participants:
Packing Guide
Please label all items with your child's name. Use the checklist below to track what you've packed.
Please do not bring
Label Everything
Please put your child's name on every item of clothing and equipment. Lost property will be kept at the club but we can only reunite items that are labelled.
Branded Sports Top Size
The club will provide a branded sports top and hat for each participant. Size is captured in the consent form — please select the correct size for your child before submitting.
Getting There
To avoid congestion at drop-off and pick-up, please park on Riverside Road or at Wormit Primary School and walk down to the club.
On the Water
The programme is weather and tide dependent and will be confirmed closer to the time. Activities across the week will include:
Dinghy Sailing
Tera dinghies on the Tay — rigging, steering, tacking. All abilities.
SUP
Stand-up paddleboarding for balance, fun, and a splash of competition.
Rowing
Traditional skur rowing — a classic Tay tradition.
Raft Building
Team engineering challenge — design, build, and float.
Powerboating
Experience safety boat handling on the water.
RNLI & Coastguard
Visits from the RNLI and HM Coastguard during the week.
Coastal Sculling
A visit from Scottish Rowing's Coastal Sculling squad.
Broughty Ferry
A trip to Broughty Ferry on Thursday (tide permitting).

If you have not already completed a registration form, please ensure we have details of the following before the week begins:

Important
We have qualified first aiders on site throughout the week. If your child requires medication during the day (e.g. an inhaler or EpiPen), please ensure it is clearly labelled and handed to the lead instructor on the first morning.
If your child becomes unwell during the week, we will contact you immediately using the emergency number you have provided. Please ensure your contact details are up to date.
